Destiny 2’s most recent expansion, The Witch Queen, marked the start of its fifth year live and a new year of content for players to dig into. The expansion pits players against the Hive god of cunning, Savathun, who has somehow gained possession of the Light in the wake of Season of the Lost. Players must venture into her Throne World to learn how she gained the Light while also battling the Light-powered Hive guardians of Savathun’s Lucent Brood standing in their way.

There were plenty of creative new exotics available to mess around with in The Witch Queen, but Twitter user Pete Taylor looked to Destiny 2’s early days for the design of his PC case. Taylor’s video shows the self-described tattoo artist building a custom case inspired by the Wardcliff Coil exotic rocket launcher using cans of spray paint, tubing, hard-foam rubber and more. He gives the video some extra musical flair with Elton John’s Rocketman, a song befitting the project which likely took a few days, if not weeks, to finish.
Taylor’s finished case is one that does justice to the weapon and its rusted, kit-bash design reflected in its lore tab about a guardian cornered by a group of Fallen. One side of the case is left relatively untouched to keep the transparent casing, a common feature in most high-end PC gaming towers, to showcase the power under the hood.
For veteran Destiny 2 players, the Wardcliff Coil was a regular piece of any guardian’s arsenal during the game’s first year and stood out from other rocket launchers by firing a volley of rockets instead of just one. The weapon was a go-to for any endgame activity, such as the Leviathan raid, where ad-control was going to be a necessity. However, players needed to be mindful of their surroundings when using it because being too close to just one of the rockets from the volley was enough to kill their own guardian.
