According to PWInsider reports, the information regarding the change of the outcome was revealed to Rollins, Roman Reigns and then champion Brock Lesnar during the Ronda Rousey and Rock segment and they were called into a room backstage to discuss and chalk out the outcome of the match.
PWInsider have further reported that WWE officials decided on Rollins getting the title possibly on Wednesday on Wrestlemania week, which would have been right after Brock Lesnar signed his new contract. Initially everyone was under the impression that Reigns would be the winner of the main event including the involved key players who knew that the Samoan Beast would be walking out as the new champion.
