Getting New Costumes
It sounds obvious, but the first thing players will need before they can change their appearance is the costumes that they can change into. Yet, this step can be a bit more difficult than first thought. If players have alternate outfits from either preordering the game or have purchased any packs that come with costumes, it’s important to know that, depending on which platform players are playing on, One Piece Odyssey might separate the game download from the additional content in ways that are not readily apparent.

For Example, on the Playstation 5, players will need to go to the Home Screen and select their One Piece Odyssey game, press the options button on the right of the controller, and navigate to the Manage Game content open in the resulting menu. From here, players can find any downloadable additions to the game, including extra costumes and items that come with preordering the game or downloading any of its downloadable content.
For other systems, players will have to navigate to similar systems. The main takeaway here is that depending on the version of the game players have purchased, the game may not automatically download the costumes they are supposed to have, meaning they will have to go searching their download menus to check and see if it is sitting there, waiting to be downloaded.
Changing the Appearance of the Straw Hats
Once players have been successful in downloading their costumes, players will need to head over to any area with a campfire. Alongside the other benefits provided by the camp, such as being able to have Usopp create Trick Balls to alter enemy stats or to have Sanji use any ingredients for cooking up food that can be used as healing and status items in battle, players will also be able to find a tent that sits in the camp.

This tent can be interacted with by players to open up a menu with a list of all the costumes that are available to players. Players can move throughout this menu to pick and choose which outfits they want each Straw Hat to wear.
This works for any location in the game that functions as a camp, including any of the inns, bars, or any other location that allows players to access their camping menus and services. Players simply need to interact with the barman/tavern keeper, and they will perform all the same actions that the tent in the camp can do, along with all the other services, such as crafting Trickballs and cooking food.
Once players have visited any of the camps or other rest locations in the game, they will be free to dress any of the Straw Hats with the costumes the game releases. Players should remember that they can only change when in a camp or similar location and that these costume changes will not carry over to the many cutscenes in the game.
But for regular gameplay, players will have access to their favorite Straw Hat outfit from either before or after the time skip, including any more that are introduced as the game continues to be supported.
One Piece Odyssey is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
