“Jarmal’s conduct and attitude in the next two weeks will determine whether any further action is warranted,” Beavers coach Wayne Tinkle said in a statement Monday.

Reid, a senior, apparently became upset with referee Tommy Nunez Jr.’s decision to not call a foul on a contact play between Reid and Utes forward Jakob Poeltl with 2:56 remaining in the game. After falling to the floor, Reid appeared to make eye contact with Nunez and deliberately extend his right leg, sending Nunez — who was an NBA referee from 2004-12 — tumbling to the ground.
Reid was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul and ejected. Utah rode the momentum from the ensuing free throws to a 59-53 win.
Tinkle said after the game Reid told him he “swore he didn’t do anything.”
“I’m just disappointed, very disappointed,” Tinkle said. “It was a hell of a ballgame. It’s a shame, just a shame.”
Reid’s suspension will cause him to miss conference tilts against UCLA, USC, Arizona State and Arizona.
